What does Thermal Economy do?
Thermal Economy designs, fabricates, tests, commissions, and installs custom burner management and control systems for industrial applications. We specialize in fired boilers, fired heaters, heat recovery boilers, thermal oxidizers, dryers, furnaces, powerhouses, and all other related systems. All systems are designed, manufactured, programmed, and tested at our facility in Olive Branch, MS — Made in the USA.
Where is Thermal Economy located and do you provide nationwide service?
Thermal Economy is headquartered in Olive Branch, MS (Greater Memphis area), but we work nationally. Our project portfolio spans facilities from Washington D.C. and New York to Colorado, Arizona, Wyoming, and beyond — including government installations, university campuses, industrial plants, and power facilities across dozens of states. If your operation needs a burner management or control system, location is not a barrier.
What industries do you serve?
With 40+ years of experience, we serve manufacturing, power, and processing plants; refineries; chemical plants; universities and colleges; hospitals; military bases; and government facilities — including systems installed at The Pentagon. What is a Burner Management System (BMS) and do I need one?
A Burner Management System automates the safe startup, operation, and shutdown of combustion equipment. If you operate a boiler, fired heater, or similar equipment, a properly engineered BMS is critical for safe operation and regulatory compliance. We can assess your current setup and recommend the right solution.
What is the Burner Sentry system?
The Burner Sentry is Thermal Economy's flagship control system — purpose-built to be the safest, most operator-friendly, and lowest cost-of-ownership solution in the industry. It uses off-the-shelf, non-proprietary components so spare parts are always readily available and affordable. Smart status messages and plain-language operator prompts guide your team through startup, operation, and troubleshooting — minimizing downtime and reducing the learning curve. All systems are designed and built to NFPA, CSD-1, and UL 508A standards.
We also offer the Boiler Sentry for comprehensive boiler control. Both systems can be installed on new equipment or retrofitted to existing systems, and every unit goes through in-house factory acceptance testing before it ever ships to your site.
Can you service or upgrade existing systems, or only install new ones?
Both. Our field service team performs detailed testing, inspection, and troubleshooting on existing systems. We also retrofit aging control systems with Burner Sentry PLC-based upgrades to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability — without requiring full equipment replacement. Remote tech support is also available to keep your systems running between site visits.
Can I see the system in action before committing?

Do you provide operator training after installation?
Yes. We believe training is essential to long-term success. After commissioning, we provide hands-on technical education so your operators are confident managing the equipment. The Burner Sentry's interface is designed with operators in mind — walking users through the startup sequence with on-screen instructions that make the system straightforward to run and troubleshoot.
